We recommend reaching out to us at least one quarter in advance at tritontesting@ucsd.edu, however we accept inquiries anytime throughout the quarter. If there are any changes to the schedule, we may be able to fit in your course.
Meet with us at our virtual front desk(link) to see if the CBTF is right for you. We host office hours every Friday from 1 pm - 3 pm.
If you're ready to request space for your course in the CBTF, you will need to complete the CBTF Schedule Request Form (link).
The CTBF currently has two operational computer labs that can seat up to a total of 75 students. Testing at the CBTF requires a complex schedule that is crafted in advance in order to support you and other UC San Diego faculty and staff members.
Yes, however students will have to reserve their seat based on the available test sessions. All students will be able to take the test but at different dates and times. We have test security measures in place to ensure students are accurately assessed and preserve the integrity of the test. Read more for Test Security at the TTC CBTF.
Yes, however they will be using a different scheduling platform called RegisterBlast and will be testing at our Pepper Canyon Hall location. We will register your tests in RegisterBlast, but students are still responsible for scheduling their test. RegisterBlast scheduling is to be done ONLY by students with OSD-approved accommodations. Tests scheduled via RegisterBlast without accommodations will be canceled.
Learn more about accommodated testing at the TTC (link).
No, we suggest that you provide the testing date information to your students as early in the quarter as possible and one week in advance of each testing window opening. We recommend adding a section to the course syllabus, announced in Canvas, or both.
Students will need to schedule the test on PrairieTest and can do so up to 10 minutes before the session starts. We recommend students plan their tests accordingly as seats often fill up at the end of the week.
Accommodated students will need to schedule the test on RegisterBlast at least 3 days in advance of the testing day.
Students can find more information at our student information page for Accommodated and Make up Testing (link) or CBTF (link).
Students can modify their reservation up to ten minutes before the session starts. Students should check seat availability before attempting to change their testing time.
If students miss their reservation, they can email us at tritontesting@ucsd.edu for help in rescheduling.
It's important to note that rescheduling missed tests isn't always guaranteed, and opportunities to do so may be unavailable. We recommend students select a test time that works best and plan on attending, as they would with any in-class test.
Students can only bring a physical UC San Diego photo ID or government issued photo ID and writing utensils. Other items are prohibited and must be stored away in the lockers before the test session.
All students will have access to TTC provided ear plugs, scratch paper, writing utensils, and if permitted by the course, scientific calculators. Paper notes are not allowed in the CBTF. Should you wish to utilize a note sheet for your course, you must enable this feature (PDF) on PrairieLearn and students must upload it before their test session.
As students finish their tests, their results will be immediately available for you on PrairieLearn.
We have multiple procedures in place to protect the integrity of the tests you entrust to us. For this reason, integrity breaches rarely occur. When they do take place, the TTC is committed to transparency at each step of the testing process. Should there be an incident where the security or integrity of your test comes into question, you will be notified with a detailed account of the incident via email. You can then use this information to file an integrity violation report with the Academic Integrity Office if you suspect cheating occurred.
For detailed information regarding our test security measures, please refer to Test Security (link) for more information.
Should you have questions or concerns about how your test was administered, we encourage you to contact us right away via email through our Virtual Front Desk (link).
