Scheduling your Test

What is PrairieTest?

PrairieTest is the platform that you will use to schedule your computer-based tests at the Triton Testing Center. Only select courses will be using the Computer-Based Testing Facility (CBTF) each quarter. Please see below to confirm if your course will be using the CBTF.

How to schedule a test

Please follow these instructions to schedule your test:

  1. Go to PrairieTest: https://us.prairietest.com/pt/login
  2. Select the “Sign in with PrairieLearn”
  3. Select “Sign in with Google” & use your @ucsd.edu credential/sign-in with DUO
  4. Select “Join COURSECODE”  (if necessary)
  5. Select the Green “Make a reservation” button
  6. Select a time slot for your exam:
  7. Select “Reserve this session”

Want to take a Practice Test? You can familiarize yourself with testing at CBTF and the PrairieLearn platform before your first assessment. Practice Tests are offered in-person during the first week of every quarter. After Week 2, you can take the Practice Test remotely on any device.

Students taking a PrairieTest with OSD approved accommodations will be testing at Pepper Canyon Hall 364. Read more for information about accommodated testing.

Changing a Reservation?

You can change or delete your reservation by:

  1. Going to PrairieTest (login required)
  2. Selecting the link to your test under Exam reservations
  3. Next, select the green Change or delete this reservation button to pick a new time to take your test.

You can modify your reservation up to ten minutes before the session starts. Be sure to check seat availability before attempting to change your testing time.

It is important to note that rescheduling missed tests is not always guaranteed, and opportunities to do so may be unavailable. We recommend that you select a test time that works for you and plan on attending, as you would with any in-class exam.
