Arrive at your test reservation 10 minutes in advance so that you have enough time to store away personal belongings or use the restroom before your test. Once the test has begun, exiting the room is generally not allowed until your test is submitted. If you absolutely must leave the room (e.g. for a medical emergency), access to your test will be disabled and your instructor will be notified.
We are in the Applied Physics & Mathematics (AP&M) Building B349 and B432. We recommend visiting our location before your test so you will know where to go. Please view our hours and location for more information.
If you arrive late, you will only be given until your original scheduled end time.
You can modify your reservation up to ten minutes before the session starts. Be sure to check seat availability before attempting to change your testing time.
If you miss your reservation, email us at tritontesting@ucsd.edu for further assistance. It is important to note that rescheduling missed tests is not always guaranteed, and opportunities to do so may be unavailable. We recommend that you select a test time that works for you and plan on attending, as you would with any in-class exam.
There are lockers in the lobby for you to store all your personal belongings. Students may only bring a physical UCSD or government ID and writing utensils to the testing room. No other personal items, including phones, wallets, watches, nor keys, are allowed in the testing room.
We do not accept digital IDs of any kind as a valid form of identification.
The TTC will provide you with a non-graphing calculator and scratch paper during your test. Any other personal items found will be reported to the instructor as a possible violation of academic integrity
After checking in, you will be given an assigned seat. Locate your seat and log into PrairieTest with via Google with your UCSD Single Sign-On (SSO) credentials. You may grab a calculator (if allowed for your course) and scratch paper during this time.
A TTC Staff Member will quickly review the policies and procedures with you before starting the test. Our staff is here to help you with technical questions about PrairieTest, such as how to refresh your page or log out. The TTC Staff cannot answer content questions. There will be a section on the test to report your questions or concerns to the instructor.
At the end of your test, log out of the computer and check-out at the Proctor station by the exit eoor. Before you leave, you will verify your ID once again, submit your scratch paper (even if unused), and return the calculator.
You are free to go once all of this is complete.
